A quick page on some binocular mounts I made for a SAC member a while back. The pics show the prototype I have with a mount for a small refractor and the parallelogram mount with a pair of 15x70 binos.

Mount with Vixen 60mm F/9 head attached. I made all the hardware, except screws. The hexagonal tripod top, telescoping legs, cetral stiffener, and leg clamp hardware.

Here's the parallelorgam with the binoculars attached. The right-hand portion has a counterweight that slides forward and back to match the weight of the binocs. On the central hub, you can see another mounting screw for a 10x50 pair of binocs.

As always, especially with a prototype, there are improvements that can be made and will be made on future additions. This one is made of red oak and mahogany. Other woods can be used, too if you prefer. I sold 5 of these for $250 each.
